Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun) Episode 6

Gekkan Shoujo Nokazi-kun is a hilarious series. And I love how I can watch it without feeling depressed about my drawing skills like how I did during my attempt to watch Bakuman... ^_^'
Although, while manga is one of the key points of the series, it's really the character interactions that make it very appealing. It's a comedy above anything else, and it does a good job at making me laugh.
Episode 6 focuses on two separate stories: Wakamatsu's interactions with Seo, and the manga assistants' attempts to help Nozaki reach his manga deadline while he's bedridden.
The relationship between Wakamatsu and Seo is a joy to watch because of how unusual their encounters are. Seo, during her time helping out the basketball team, manages to intimidate the boys' basketball team and, for some reason, likes to target Wakamatsu during their practice games. Because of the stress this causes for him, Wakamatsu decides to confront Seo about her behavior. But of course this doesn't work out the way you would expect.
And that's one of the things I really like about this series: it doesn't follow cliches and often takes turns you wouldn't expect.

When they're on the roof and Wakamatsu tells Seo to stop coming to their basketball matches, Seo misses everything he says because she's too busy thinking of a nickname for him.
And then by the time all is said and done, their conversation ends with what is basically Wakamatsu giving Seo a set of gloves as a gift.
And in the second half of the episode, we get to see Sakura, Wakamatsu, and Hori-senpai struggle with figuring out how to finish Nozaki's manuscript before his deadline. And while they manage to get certain portions right, others they fail in miserably... x-)

So Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is definitely a series that I will be following for the rest of the season. While I don't expect a concrete resolution to come before the series ends, I don't think I'll mind too much--especially if the rest of the series is as enjoyable as it's been so far. :)
